URBAN OASIS is an itinerary photographic series, which tracks the interaction between nature and city, interrogating us on this theme through shots which offer, in this occasion, an other pictures about our civilization, fare from postcards of tourist sites, in which the nature becomes protagonist.
These are images, where it doesn't appear the human being, but rather its products, trying to show secrete symptoms of the urban present.
Training the looking we can open a door on other senses, which help us to better understand how the usages and the surrounding that we share, are changing.
ES: Todos sabemos cuales son las ruinas históricas, ¿pero cuáles serán las ruinas del futuro?
OASIS URBANOS Es un proyecto fotográfico itinerante que cartografía la interacción entre naturaleza y ciudad, y nos pregunta sobre este argumento a través de una serie de instantáneas que nos muestran otra visión de nuestra civilización, en las que la naturaleza, se vuelve protagonista.
Son imágenes donde no aparece el ser humano, sino sus subproductos, artefactos tomados, que pretenden subrayar los sintomas escondidos del presente urbano.
Entrenarse en "el mirar" es la puerta que abre los otros sentidos, los mismos que nos llevarán a entender mejor cómo estamos cambiando las costumbres y el entorno que compartimos.
ANDRÉS TORCA FELIPE: Pienso en la "idea", como un concepto al que materiales y disciplinas se someten y que me permite crear un corpus de obra heterogéneo y transdisciplinar; fotografía (digital y análoga), escultura, instalaciones, intervenciones en el espacio público... En mis proyectos trato siempre de -hacer- ver vertices no explorados llamando la atención sobre los detalles e incitar a reflexionar sobre los espacios y objetos con los que compartimos nuestra cotidianeidad. Es de la percepción individual de los pequeños detalles de donde nacen los grandes cambios sociales, politicos, vitales.
